THIS is from the UK Hall Of Fame ceremony, wherein Paul was inducted as vocalist of the 70's, and Queen as band of the 70's.

The response from this and the other song they did that night(We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions) was so overwhelming, they decided to do a full world tour together!!!

Paul RESPECTS the legacy of Freddie, and brings his OWN fame and JUST AS MANY HITS to he table.

FREDDIE often cited PAUL RODGERS as a HUGE influence, and the band sounds GREAT with a blues edge now...

ANYone trying to sing LIKE Freddie would be a parody, and a JOKE.
NOBODY can sing like FREDDIE. He is/always will be irreplaceable.
What you CAN do, is treat the material with respect, and bring your OWN thing to the table.

They tried with Robbie Williams, even had dates booked- but his mgmt pulled him out.

Besides, people write FOR him, he can't write anything, he was in a freakin BOY BAND....

GEORGE MICHAEL, everyone's front-runner....can't STAY OFF THE DRUGS!!!!!!

Paul is respected, HAS respect for the legacy, and has his OWN thing too.

HELL they are already playing NEW stuff!!!!!

I don't see anyone ELSE inspiring Brian and Roger in this way!!1

John Deacon is simply retired, but gives his total blessing to this project.

'NUFF SAID.

  • Pino, Paul, and Brian. dont get much better than that does it?

  • Wow, Paul Rogers Brings it in every single time, and with Queen? Does it get any better than this?

  • @wonderlove09 , Actually not only do I agree with you, but I want to confirm that in one situation Freddie said to May :"you keep coming with these complicated songs and you want me to sing this way and that way...who do you think I am Paul Rodgers?" What Freddie meant, is that Paul has this amazing voice and ability to sing a complicated song easily! All this coming from Freddie...!

  • in fact for this song it's more Paul Rodgers plus Queen

merci à PR d'avoir dédicacé ce morceau à Paul Kossoff

  • en souvenir de Paul Kossoff

  • it makes sense Free was among the bands Freddie saw in '68 or whatever, and admired Paul making it in his own style. But to say "Freddie often cited" just isn't true. Freddie grew from amateur to maestro over 20-odd years and had MANY influences. His 70s constant: Hendrix+Liza. Robert Plant. 80s+ faves: Aretha, Caballe, George Michael, MJ. How many blues-y tunes did Queen do? very little.

  • @springsteen96

I think this was before they did the collaboration :)

  • that's his kids at 1:31

  • @tootstanner well excuse me then. i happen to dislike paul rogers, and you must know very little about music also; everyone has different taste in music, i dont hate on people with different opinions because its still not going to change what they think

  • PAUL ROGERS IS GOD.....................
