Training at the Budokan in Okinawa with my Sensei, May 22, 2002
Sai-dai-ichi (Nicho Sai) The first kata we practice is called Sai-dai-ichi or Nicho Sai. It means simply 'two sai.' My Sensei. Yoshiaki Gakiya, and I training the kata and working on details. Our sessions average about two hours long, so we spend ample time on each
weapon and each kata. We are in one of the halls at the Budokan in Okinawa. Nice and warm!
