On his way to high school in the morning, Makoto sees a magical-girl superhero (Kokoro in disguise) battle a UFO. At school, Taisuke informs him that she is "Magical Heart," a Sailor Moon-like superhero who protects the city from crime, though Makoto does not seem to show any interest.

@Guitaraddict98 this is an OVA, those things usually takes place some time during the middle of the anime, in an alternative universe kinda place where typically everyone gets along. It gives the animators and creators of the anime, some more freedom, and some fun, so they can do stuff which they normally wouldn't for the actual series. also, makoto dies in the anime, but in the game which the anime is based off, there are 21 different endings, only of which 3 or 5 makoto die in :P
