This Mk1 English Ford came out in 1950 and was years ahead of it's time with the three box design, OHV engine, McPherson Suspension, and wheels you can still find tires for.
When the Mk3 came out in 1962, Ford Australia had to decide which car to produce in competition with Holden. They decided to go with the American Ford Falcon. Had the decision gone the other way,It would have been the Falcon's name that would have been lost in history.
