The song was composed to celebrate the historic inauguration of Barack Obama, the first African American President of America. Sharon Katz & The Peace Train were guests of the SUNY Fredonia Music Therapy Department and performed this song at their concert there on 11th February 2009, the 19th anniversary of the day Nelson Mandela was liberated after twenty seven years of imprisonment by the racist South African Apartheid regime.
