This guy is totally correct. 100%, see him anywhere if you can! His live performances are amazing and he is certainly one of the live performances out there.

Two weeks ago I heard him say how he was inspired by the book about Lewis and Clark and their travels. This is what inspired the song.

He taught for a while at Lewis & Clark college in Portland, Oregon. True, he heard the story of their journey and was inspired. . .see him live - he's a wonderful ambassador for creativity. Love his intuitive heart!

Anyone know the story behind this song name? Had a really random thought- was wondering whether this song is actually a reference to Lois (not Lewis) & Clark of the Lois Lane and Clark Kent fame... No basis for the hypothesis, just wondered if the resemblance was not actually a coincidence... thoughts anyone?

Lewis and Clark was explorers that found a way across the US of A from the east to the west - if I'm not mistaken... (I'm Norwegian and not so familiar with American History..)

Anyway, ofcourse you're spot on! He learned about them when he played at an American College or Highscool (don't remember). When he asked wo they where, they just laughed at him. (Friendly, of course) When he heard the story, he decided to write that song.
