I recently inherited a 1798 Verge Fusee Pocket Watch, made in London by Wm Hopetown, double pair case, Sterlin Silver, made by Thomas Carpenter. Watch fusee Chain needed replacing and was missing minute hand. I researched how to do repair, obtained used parts on ebay, and made the repair. Watch again running as it had done for my ancestors over the past 211 years.

  • I think I'd rather buy old English than new Swiss

  • @MrSpiccato71 My son developed the tune on the mandolin. We have always just called it "Brandon's Song". We need to name it I guess. If you work out on a violin, email it back, I would like to hear it, good luck.

  • @GTweed0605 Nice watch and interesting history behind...it sounds like a nice passion, I really like vintage and classic watches too and I am gathering information about...maybe buy some cheap broken old pocket watches and some repair books and give it a go. Regarding your music, it sounds great, it looks like talent runs in the family!! Do you have a title for the melody? I may try and get a partitur and try it with violin. Thanks for sharing!
