That Kinoton has dowser on lamphouse as I see, newer saw one Kinoton FP with that, more better lamphouse is up to 2kW, strange.
But, nice is to see SDDS 3000 reader mounted :D

The protective cylinder for the lamp shown in the video is supposed to be used as an installation/removal tool, to avoid stress on the quartz and the risk of explosion.

Xenon's are still a very poor compromise as a projection light source. Nothing (as yet) has been invented that can match the quality of a properly trimmed carbon arc. A sad fact!

I remember at UCI 10 screen Tower Park, years ago, the Xenon blew-up in one of the smaller screens. I was on the other side of the cinema in booth while it gave one of the other team projectionists a fright! The mess it made and I think that was 2KW lamp. Glass like sugar all around on the inside! It had to be vacuumed up bushed up! What a mess!
I think this was late afternoon when this happened.

Hello Fred what site is this? Im guessing the Xenon is no more than 2KW as that is small lamp house to what Ive been around in the past.
How many hours will the that lamp last for I know its not on 24/7. Are you adapting to the digital format or do you still prefer 35/70mm?
