Queensland Rail Electric Multiple Unit 06 with missing Unit number on the front terminates at Cooroy on #J403 or as some rail enthusiasts refer to it as "The Cooroylander" on a Windy yet mild Thursday winter afternoon. (Yes I know the video was cut at the end :)
Short answer yes. The IMU 160's were ordered for all Gold Coast services to be operated by IMUs & an increased peak services for that line. Some IMUs will be put onto North Coast line services but not all suburban rolling stock will be eliminated from the line. The service filmed above is usually operated by an Inter City Express unit, witch for whatever reason was unavailable (usually due to reliability).

When the IMU160s are all in service will there still be any EMUs/SMUs running up there?

Suburban rolling stock (EMU/SMU) is used due to Interurban rolling stock shortages & in the case substitution for an ICE unit (witch usually runs this service). It's not that uncomfortable just no toilets onboard.

What's with running EMUs north of Caboolture? Would be a rather uncomfortable journey all the way from Brisbane.
