awesome. its a shame the city is going to start using salt now that i live at the top of a kick ass hill, and my new england butt is not afraid to drive in the snow, unlike seattle natives....

Don't let them grind you down bud, bet they're all health and safety killjoys that is grinding industry into a beaurocratic mess. keep on at it.:)

Webcami,
the Diffence is that when you launch on the water the kite is over the water so if you get pulled downwind you don't go into powerlines. Also, once you are out on the water you go futher out. the activity is generally a few hundred feet offshore. This is generally not acceptable for a number of reasons. Buildings, powerlines, wind direction, little/no downwind buffer zone, etc.

what an idot! Some what should cut his lines!

What a JackAss...putting a lot of people in danger for 200 yards of snowkiting. I hope that kite got destroyed when it flew into the power lines...and it did.
-
What? No big air into the power lines? Or is that how your kite ended up that way on Komo 4 news!?
-
Brilliant: A heavily traveled street, street lamps, and power lines all less than 100 feet directly downwind of the kite.
-
so how's you put your kite in the power lines and where's the video????
-
Thanks for this!
Nice to see alki in the snow since i'm up the hill!
My kite? Do you think I'm crazy? I have no idea who this is, but I'm curious to ask those of you that are worried about powerlines, etc. We have people doing this off shore in the water all year round. As you can see, this person is really close to the water line. WHAT's the difference (about 20 ft?)
