SHOW: YOUR WORLD WITH NEIL CAVUTO 4:23 PM EST

Interview With South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint
NEIL CAVUTO, HOST: Boy, this didn`t take long. And I predicted it. Hours after the GOP releases a budget, there is this liberal group, Americans United For Change, releases this ad.
Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP, AMERICANS UNITED FOR CHANGE AD)

NARRATOR: This public service announcement is for anyone who will ever be 65 or older. Monday, word leaked of a plot to steal one of your most valuable assets, your Medicare. The thieves have been identified as insurance companies desperate to get at the Medicare trust fund. They are abetted by Republicans whose budget replaces Medicare with a voucher to buy private insurance.
The same Republicans who refuse to end tax breaks for millionaires want you to put at the mercy of the big insurance companies.
If you know the whereabouts of these Republicans, call them.

END VIDEO CLIP)

CAVUTO: I hate them.

(LAUGHTER)

CAVUTO: Anyway, my guest supports the Medicare cuts in the budget.
Republican Senator Jim DeMint.

  • Social Security is not solvent. New congressional estimates say the trust fund that supports Social Security disability will run out of money by 2017, leaving the program unable to pay full benefits, unless Congress acts. About two decades later, Social Security’s much larger retirement fund is projected to run dry as well. It's time to REFORM ALL GOVERNMENT ASSISTANT PROGRAMS NOW -- ELSE WE LOSE THEM! How about the first step to get millionaires off SS and Medicare? "hands off" is not sane.

  • Nice of you to cut off the interview with DeMint. Are you scared of the truth or at least alternative information to consider?

Collectivism will fall of its own weight. Go ahead, put your faith in big government and a planned economy! Every society that has gone that route will loose their freedoms and ultimately collapse with tremendouse human suffering.

Obama has become worse than Bush. Obama is the one that has given billions to billionaires! Where are your commercials on that?

  • Don't worry Neil, we hate you too.

  • Yes, Fox News lies, distorts, and misinforms.

  • The Republibagger Congress along with fixd news sure thinks their constituents are stupid. How about it? Are the Republican and tea party people going to be duped again?

  • Fox News is the Fear Monger , the Ryan Budget calls for the Complete dismantling of Medicare and Medicaid as we know them. It will put those who are on Medicare and Medicaid at the Mercy of Private Insurers and end up costing (according to CBO) recipients on Medicare an additional $20,000 per year in the next ten years !

  • @awreslr2 Stop fearmongering.

  • WTF... and last year the voters who voted for Republicans were doing so because Republicans claimed that Democrats CUT MEDICARE by $500 million, or something like that.... Fox News, the misinformation channel of the Republican Party! Thumbs up only for pointing out the hypocrisy!
