I hate Comcast as much as anyone. I've spent many hours with them on the phone & in my yard & home with them the past 4 days. But they didn't short you much in this situation. In retro you would have just taped over this one anyway. Obama is the biggest joke played on the American people since I've been around.

Man, I so agree with you...I HATE Comcast Newsmakers...such a complete waste of time. I've complained and complained and it doesn't matter. They keep saying "it's a public service". Bullshit, is what I say.

This is really annoying cause I always miss the last section of HLN and even complained to Comcast's South Florida Vice President (a Mr Crooks, and he seemed powerless to do anything about it. I didnt know it's been going on for so long.

well comcast just updated my cable box and when it finnally turns on just in the nick of time to miss my favorite shows it RUINED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. THEY PUT FUCKING ADS ON GUIDE WITCH THE FUCKED UP WITH THE UPDATE AND KNOW I CAN'T FIND ANYWAY TO FREAKING DOWNLOAD IT I CAN'T WAIT TILL TOMMROW SO I CAN CALL COMCAST AND GIVE THEM AFREAKING EARFUL

Comcast Newsmakers one-minute specials always break in on Headline News at fairly regular intervals. Usually, though, these breaks are timed to play in the pre-planned commercial breaks, and not to cut across live footage Compounding this is how Headline News cut to a commercial, although whether HLN did so initially and Comcast took advantage of it by putting its program on, or if the local Newsmakers just automatically pre-empted the speech and HLN followed suit nationally is unclear.

At best, someone didn't pay attention and let this stuff roll along its prescheduled time. At worst, this could be like that Super Bowl XLIII stunt in Arizona. It's still infuriating either way.
