'Lukka chhupi' is my most favourite in the film Rang de basanti.It is a soulful,sensuous,heavenly and mellifluous spirit-souring song that soothes the heart.I consider the two persons who have given voice to this song are divine and idolatrous personifications of Music-a Sanctimonious 'Saraswathi'-Bharath ratna,Lata Mangeshkarji and her blissful,mesmerizing son of Music-A.R.Rahman.

many israeli's like myself who are not only indians know who lata mangeshkar other than that you are right i feel also pity for those who do not know who lata is but fortunatley for me i know i love her oldies only and mohd rafi talat mehmood and the era of 1949-1970

Lata Mangeshker's voice exactly suited like caring mom about his son.
and AR. Rahman's voice.... he is awesome. The combination is mind Blasting and Heartbreaking :)
I wish these type of meaningful songs with good music from all the music directors.
