@WandereroftheDark True, though I'm pretty certain in this case it's a very intentional use of the song. The 69 Eyes' songs are full of musical and lyrical references to the bands that inspired them, such as David Bowie, Sisters of Mercy...etc. As you say, I don't care as long as they're producing good music.

After a while you can here nearly any bands music or tune in another... there is but a finit ammount of easily playable basic tunes and rhytems...
On the other hand i care not if its nearly the same if both are good music and pleasant to listen to... Now if they butcher it thats another discussion entirely.

I'm pretty sure they took the basic tune of Type O Negative's 'My girlfriend's girlfriend' and came up with this. Listen to the intro, you could sing the lyrics of this song to it. I love both bands (and knew of 69 Eyes first), and I found this kinda funny considering the contrast in the themes of both songs.
