Thank you so much for taking the time to do this review...it was most helpful...I am definitely sold...My grandson spends part of his summer with me in ny, so this will be great for us...My only question...is it summer yet?

Byu93, I'm thinking you might wanna put the fly up over the poles (stakes?) before the roof poles are fully assembled. When you try to put it when they are all set, requires that you stretch the canvas dangerously far out to reach over the doubled up fabric. I'm thinking that the poles dont overlap that far. Maybe an inch or so? That would mean that you put the fly corners in over the roof stakes and only then finish assembling the roof stakes.

@lorikarn We had some pretty heavy and long thunderstorms and the tent stayed mostly dry had a few drips but i can't imagine that there was anyone who didnt. had 2 other tents with us, good ones, and they had small leaks too, the rain was super heavy! Although, I did really spray it good w/ waterproofer along all the seams. 2 adults and 3 kids stayed in this tent comfortably all week.

@byu93 no good hooks, but there is an electrical port for cord. we just use the tubs we haul our camping gear in for tables. Would have been nice to hang things though.

Bought for a camping trip we just went on in Summersville, WV for a week. have now set this tent up twice-once a backyard dry run
& second obviously for the trip. Definitely need 2 people, & really pay attention to detail when laying out hubs & poles before assembling. The rest is easy..besides the rainfly. It is definitely tight, but I got it on both times and i put it on last. We just kind of stood on both sides (front and back) & used the guy lines to toss and drag it over.

I brought this tent, going camping, me & wife. This is her first outing. As for the Tent, make sure you put the rain fly on first. I set it up by myself, took me about 45 minute's, but now i think it will going a little faster this time. One thing i did notice, we had a heavy storm come through the area, it with stood it well, But, there where a couple of small water drop lets in the tent, by each window. But overall, i'm pleased with this tent, can't wait to go camping with this.

can you close up the front of the tent so no one can see inside, ie is there a solid non see-thru material that you can zip up so no one can see inside? thanks jjohn

@2xguy The "porch" of the tent does not have an opaque window cover. It is always visible. The main part of the tent has window coverings for all the windows for complete privacy.

Can one person put this tent up?
evans0110 7 months ago
@evans0110 I haven't tried, but it would be difficult. Putting the legs on by lifting one corner would put a lot of stress on the hubs.
The good news is that if you need to set up this 10 person tent, it's likely that there will be at least 2 people around to help you set it up.

we just bought this tent and i was wondering if there are hooks inside to hold a lantern or if you can hook a fan up in the tent easily.
thanks!

@molove5971 The loop for the room divider could be used for a lantern (electric one, of course). I'm not sure about the fan hook up. I'll have to look for it the next time I set it up. I don't see any cord port in the video.
