CCHR: By 1991 Antidepressants were known to cause violence & suicide

As far back as 1991 CCHR was exposing the fact that antidepressants can cause suicide and violence at the FDA hearings on Prozac. It would take 13 years for the FDA to finally admit this was true, and issued the agencies strongest warning the "black box" in 2004. At the time, 1991, "Prozac (fluoxetine) had the highest number of adverse event reports submitted to the FDA National Adverse Drug Reaction Reporting System database. The database dates back to 1969."

why isn't this on the nightly news!!!! every time i hear about families being wiped out by loving parents, i know it was the DRUGS--although if a person is over 30 though, it is not as bad ; the brain changes

I'm curious about something. Is there empirical evidence which shows a cause and effect relationship between antidepressants and suicide? Or are they just presumed to be linked to suicide? I do think that some people are overmedicated when they do not need to be. Indeed, some people who do not suffer from CLINICAL depression are getting the drugs In other cases, some people say that they are helped by these medicines.  The thing is, each person will react a little differently to a drug.

That old "coming out of depression makes them prone" is not science, just a theory.  It is the the same thing as getting worse before getting better ,and that is NOT medically valid and associated with quacks and false medicine.

I might be wrong, but there is something wrong here. What is up?Comflict of Interes,I read in psychopharmacology.That when a patients takes an anti dpressent,some time the most dangerous is when the patient is coming out.The patient maybe more energy and more prone to suciidel ideation.Which you all well, we need to get a pateint advoacacy center they have more.Perhpas a message board so that we can check eah others stories and change storiess,Thanks to the internet we are no longer powerless.

Ya shocking! How the hell can they sleep at night knowing how many people they have killed and put in a drug induced hell or who have comitted acts they would not have otherwise done due to the influence of these drugs, particularly Prozac (floxatine) etc. Scarry Bannanas for this society.

I think so many people are numb to this stuff that no-one acts while people are havig thier minds hacked to bits by chemicals that were developed by the Military to create mind-controlled idiots.
