This video shows how to set up a Linksys wireless router. I'm using a model wrt110, but all Linksys routers are amazingly similar. Even if you don't have a Linksys router, you may learn enough to configure your own wireless router. I show the many options that Linksys routers can do such as NAT, DHCP, Port forwarding, DMZ, MAC filtration, etc. Mostly, I show you how to set it up and secure it. I ahow how to setup with with DSL and Cable.

  • @rauf2222 The defaults for password and login are "admin". And sometimes you just need the password.

  • I there! I one a question, I can use this product as an access point or router only as?

  • @SuperCferrer

    Access point: no

Router only: yes, Give it static IP and turn off DHCP on the main page.

  • If you unplug it and move your router, do you have to set it up again?

  • @kyrectx2 Probably not. I've moved mine across town and it remembered the settings

  • I need help!!! The router is connected to my pc, but it still says I have no internet access.....what am I doing wrong??

  • Wow! You helped save my Monday morning--I found your vid post today and after learning a thing or two I had my home network fixed within the hour!! Awesome.

You get my vote for IT WINNER!

  • I have this router and before I saw your vid I set it up by downloading the setup wizard (I know, I'm one of those fools). Anyway, after setting it up it worked well for a few hours and then I noticed my speed went down dramatically. Called Comcast and the rep guided me through the troubleshooting process. Turns out that after I unplugged the router's power cable and re plugged it my speed was back up to 30mbps. Do you think that the router is bad or could this be a set up issue? Windows 7

  • your voice got me wet
