Truth be told, I don't see why people are so against the idea of Ike and Soren as a pairing. I see hetero-shipping that makes little sense (IkexLethe for one) yet I rarely see anyone go "YOU PEOPLE ARE STUPID. THIS IS WRONG". Sure, Yaoi fangirls who only believe in yaoi pairings are annoying but fans who think any type of non-hetero pairing is wrong and constantly push for it is just as bad.

I don't know about how others feel about this, but my aggravation with the obsession with yaoi pairings like Soren x Ike has little to do with the sexual preference involved; there's so much BS about how two male friends in society aren't allowed to act. Unlike with women, it's almost impossible for two men to be openly affectionate in their friendship r without being mocked. There's just something incredibly heartwarming about two friends living their lives together; does it have to be sexual?

@09XGT Not everyone who ships them is a dedicated yaoi fangirl, btw. I ship any pairing as long as it works, and I can definitely see these two being romantically involved, but I can also see them just being friends. Don't hate on people just because they have a different view to you, and don't act as if your view is completely right. And it's never implied that they /aren't/ gay either, so it's up to the player to decide their sexuality, and some people like them gay, others straight.

I wish I could have a friend as Ike, but in life Im Ike and a special friend is Soren, we may cry together and hug ourselves but we are brothers, companions, not pairing...

Sort of wished they had changed the soundtrack for this scene. Considering Soren's past, this is very sad. The battle music sort of ruins it. But still, I'm glad Soren finally found someone he can trust fully and consider as a great companion.
