@maciousyuzz Actually I'm fairly sure it doesn't. It changes the feild of view but the focal length stays the same. Just think, if you took a photo with a 70-200 2.8 at 200mm and f/2.8 and crop it, the depth of field doesn't change. Thats why they are called crop sensors. With medium format think about shooting a 90mm at 2.8 but having a 50mm field of view with the 90mm DOF.
i thing you forgot one thing.. the size of camera sensor..influence the DOF as well..(eg fulframe camera and cropped frame camera has diferent DOF, as well as medium format and large format..) isn't it right zack?
While this is basic stuff you could pick up in any old photography manual up for £5 in a second hand store we live in dumbed down times and people want 'YouTube rockstar' showman tutors, video clips, etc. these days. It's kinda surreal on one level to see all this razzmatazz for basic photography info. but that's the way of the world. The clips are probably very helpful to loads of people.
Not a bad workshop, though it is pretty basic. I am only 22 and I started with film so to all who are quick to judge the so called "newbies" you might want to think twice, because some of us newbies arent so new.
why would everyone know this? the only ones who are familiar with this would the ones like me who are over 30 and studied photography in school using manual film cameras. Im pretty sure most digital users have not rolled film before or develop prints. Its a new age and Im glad (pardon the term) newbies are taking an interest enough to learn these things. I say good for them. not everyone is from the darkroom ages and using cameras with no batteries, auto functions or even a light meter.
