Kabul Museum once housed Afghanistans ancient artefacts, but decades of war changed that. Today, international support is helping to restore the museum and artefacts.

  • My dream (and the original reason for my BA in anthropology) is to do archaeological work in Afghanistan. There are thousands of years of history that predate the generally accepted 'oldest' cultures on earth.

  • i have said this before and always say it afghanistan has 50,000 year old history longer than iran india and china and its proven by afghan museums around the world

  • Every country needs their museums! Museums make people proud of their country's art and culture, etc. I would think the people of Afghanistan would be proud of their culture and would want to have a museum showcasing examples of their culture. Art and music and education must be important to the people of Afghanistan and that is what makes a country unique!
