These continuity and idents are from 1992. There is a trailer for sunday night line up, bbc one ident (1991-1997) introducing Peter Rabbit and Friends. There is also an introduction for The Clothes Show and a trailer for a programme about the top xmas shows seen on British Television.

  • Sunday 20th December 1992.

  • By far the best era for BBC branding and idents. It all looks so professional, pleasing to the eye and very very smooth. Today's aren't a patch on these.

  • As someone too young to remember this branding, the virtual globe hasn't aged well. It lacks the inventiveness of 2, or even charm of the old mirror globe. But I think we can all agree, it was better than COW from the 80s.

  • I Think BBC 2 premaired Our Animated Film "The Land Before Time" (1988) On 21st December 1992.

  • We recorded this showing of Peter Rabbit and Friends but didn't get any of the continuity surrounding it.

Out of interest, does anyone remember a drama about a boy and a reindeer that was also shown on this date? I can't remember much about it but I think it might have been a Teatime Drama

  • I think just about everything looked professional in the early 90s... aside from the afros, of course. Colour schemes, fashion, style, idents and branding... all very well professional don't ya think?

  • my first christmas :-)

  • Yeah, yeah, thats what they all say, or said. ten years ago that is.

  • Wow, excellent continuity, flows perfectly with a look at both channels and familiar looks to those channels. Faultless.

  • i remember these idents vaguely. i was only a baby and toddler when i last saw these. then came the balloon

  • I much prefer the bbc balloon ones
