Today's MNNR sand train did something very rare, they took the Union Cutoff to use the Saint Paul Sub to get to the BNs Bluff Yard rather then the Midway Sub. The three GEs on the head end put on a nice show as the train crept upgrade towards Snelling Ave while the two engines on the rear were also getting a bit of a work out as well. No matter how many times I see this train, the sight and sound of these old GEs makes for a nice sight.
