In Dec of 07 I was drunk and giving up...the light shined on me as I listened to Dan on limewire I've not drank since recently gave up cigeretts . Tonight I just relized he is gone wow I think he maybe was there for me and I won't give up. Mike.

At an "adult liquid consumption establishment," a friend was in the dumps. I asked about it. That had been her dad's birthday. "Did he drink?" I ordered his favorite beverage. "Tell me a dad story." I refuse to mourn a passing...I want to celebrate the life, especially the funny/crazy stories. (just a suggestion, hope it helps)

In response to MikiSumner your story is close to mine I was married to my husband 31 years he died 8/9/2010 he was in the hospital for 4 months from complications from cancer surgery he came home July 29th and died at home with his family! I miss him dearly!!

I know first hand the words to this song. I lost my husband September 10, 2009. I have seen first hand the effects of cancer and had been there telling him to not give up. I had been the one going to Dr.'s appointments, chemo treatments, blood drawings to make sure the blood cell counts were ok. There were times I wanted to scream, but I never lost hope up until the day he passed. I just could not believe it was real. Alas, I would love to feel you here again (We had been married 31 years).
