Between the mountains and the sea on the south east coast of Taiwan lies an aboriginal village called Dulan. It's a beautiful, though occasionally harsh land (baking summers, typhoons, Dong Bei Ji Fong - which windsurfers love - me, not so much) and home to a nice mix of different cultures and people who generally can't shut up about how much they love the place. Just about everyone here claims to be an artist of some kind.
Only spanner in the works is the arrival of the mega-hotel gang. There is already one monstrosity that's been illegally built on the site of what used to be a beautiful beach camp ground, and others are planned.
