@dar06762 : There's a "crossover" concept--a person can be SO unattractive that it excites the opposite sex. Barbra Streisand, Kim Basinger, Jack Nicholson...there's some science to it, and it's real. I know some girls like that, and they drive me nuts, even though by popular standards they're butt-ugly. No logical explanation.
