MEET LAUREN
The talent, charm, beauty and humor which Lauren Gottlieb not only exudes in her everyday life, but also carries to the stage in each of her dances is quickly establishing her as a rising star and one of the most sought-after dancers in Hollywood.
After winning over America on the hit FOX reality series So You Think You Can Dance, Lauren made it to the final six contestants and hardly put on the brakes at that point. Soon every major choreographer wanted to work with her. She performed with Shakira at the Grammys. She performed with Mariah Carey on Good Morning America. She also returned to FOX for American Idols Idol Gives Back special with her fellow So You Think You Can Dance castmates.
Originally from Scottsdale, Lauren knew she wanted to dance when she was just 7 years old. She has trained in jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, tap, and musical theater and describes her style of dance as a mix of contemporary, jazz funk and hip hop. In 2006, Lauren moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dance career. She soon began working with noted choreographer Tyce Diorio and assisted him during Season 2 of So You Think You Can Dance before she joined the cast the following year.
Lauren recently had her acting debut on Jennifer Love Hewitt's "Ghost Whisperer". She danced side by side with Miley Cyrus in the new Hannah Montana Feature Film. She is also playing a cheerlearder with Kim Kardashian and Vanessa Minnillo in Disaster Movie. She has danced in Bring It On Cinco, a Nip Tuck Promo, Paula Abdul Tribute, and Nikes Rock Your Body Workout. She has also danced at some of Hollywoods most noted industry events including Nike, Macys Passport, Nickelodeons Best New Talent of the Year and Monsters of Hip Hop Roadtrip.
Lauren has trained with some of todays best choreographers including Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Brian Friedman, Tabitha and Napoleon, Bryan Tanaka, Marguerite Derricks, Tyce Diorio, Dave Scott and Chuck Maldonado among others. As a teacher and choreographer, Lauren has worked with Tobey McGuire, Broadway Dance Center, Co Dance, West Coast Dance Explosion and Tremaine.
