  • The wages sin deat is death. They where created perfect and clean, with everlasting life in view. When they sinned, that prospect was taken from them.

  • @Jamesdt85 You obviously did not comprehend anything brought out in the video.

  • Just out of curiosity, did you do any research on this question before you posted the video? It just doesn't seem as though you did my friend as I could Google an answer to this in three seconds but I don't need to because I've already looked into the question many times independently. FYI, I am an ex-JW turned atheist now Christian (long story). It has been understood by many for several millenia that equating perfect with everlasting life is wrong. They had life through their obedience to God

  • @robotwookie Yes, but the Watchtower Society teaches exclusively (unless some other religion teaches it that I am not aware of) that mankind was not going to ever get sick and die:

"God indicated that he purposed the earth to be full of living humans, not a deteriorating, dying race. His work was perfect, hence without flaw, imperfection, or sickness" (Insight, Vol. 2, p. 784).

  • @wanitek For the most part, I agree. There may be some truth to it but to what extent is unknown.

  • @propagandatechniques apologies to my jewish friends out there but deep down in my guts, this book is just scribblings from these wishful semitic people of long ago. i dont think we're doing anything more than trying to figure out sense from something so shamelessly invented.

  • @wanitek Who claimed the book is "good"? Do you mean the Watchtower handlers? Also, I think you could be confusing the tree of KNOWLEDGE with the tree of LIFE. If I remember correctly, the tree of life represented "life sustaining provisions from Jehovah." If so, why would "life sustaining provisions" be necessary if mankind was created perfect - never going to die?

  • @propagandatechniques last time i checked, we were taught that the tree of life wasn't literal. it meant "knowledge that will preserve you alive forever" then again, it could mean so many different things. remind me again why this book is so good and its also messed up limping from literal to figurative?

  • @wanitek Sure, I'll help by first directing you back to the question in the video: If Adam and Eve were made perfect, than why was it necessary they eat from the tree of life in order to live forever? Please stick with the subject in the video - Unless, of course, you can't come up with an explanation. If not, then simply don't reply. I'm not interested in a debate over something else. If you are, then I suggest you make a video.
