thanks. i am sore from making this patio. those pieces are heavy. usually, it is important to put a layer of baserock and sand for better weight capacity and less settling, i am experiementing soil structure by using soil as my base medium.

It's better to slowly dig out a cavity to fit each stone than use loose dirt and attempt to pack it down. -> Some of both is usually required but using too much loose dirt will make it prone to settle.

I saw a lot of people putting sand under bricks like that. But I don't either...maybe if I make a long walkway .
