2009 Nissan Maxima Review. The Nissan Maxima has a reputation for being the sporty alternative to the mundane family sedan. Compared to its most direct competitor, the Toyota Avalon, the Maxima offers distinctive style and a performance-oriented personality as its key weapons. In the past few years one could argue that its most intense competition comes not from other brands but from its Nissan Altima sibling, which has adopted much of the Maximas persona at a lower price.

Welcome to our comprehensive Kelley Blue Book review of the Nissan Maxima.

The Nissan Maxima offers an enviable combination of arresting looks, sophisticated road manners and interior room at a price many will find more than palatable. For more new car reviews, interviews and automotive news visit http://www.kbb.com today.

  • Nissan is by far the "Coolest" Asian import make. Sorry Honda and Toyota lovers but its true, i believe that Hyundai is second to Nissan with Honda in third place and Toyota keeping up the rear. Honda and Toyota build such generic looking cars with plastic generic interiors, its almost sad. When i drive a car i want to hear and feel power, i want to rely on handling, and i don't want to break it if i slam the door. Slam a Honda door and it sounds hollow, take a Camry through a turn "LOL"..

  • Did she say resale value and Chrysler 300. Chrysler has the worst resale of any car co in history.
