A small gathering greeted The Duke of Gloucester "Cathedrals Express" on her way To Ely. I gather she broke down on her return journey and was laid up at Cambridge overnight. Something to do with burning too much or the wrong type of coal.....
Thanks for the comments. It was really hard to find an ideal spot on the platform owing the low sun and other train enthusiasts (who were there first). I used the footbridge to mask out as much of the sun as I could, which left a fellow on-lookers body and kit-bag in the way of the receding view of the train when I panned to the right. There was a wider view of the train's approach at the south end of the platform but no shade to work with. Overall I was pretty happy with the result.
beautiful camerawork, I really like that opening shot...shame about that lump in the blue getting in the way at the end.
