A small gathering greeted The Duke of Gloucester "Cathedrals Express" on her way To Ely. I gather she broke down on her return journey and was laid up at Cambridge overnight. Something to do with burning too much or the wrong type of coal.....

  • beautiful camerawork, I really like that opening shot...shame about that lump in the blue getting in the way at the end.

  • Thanks for the comments. It was really hard to find an ideal spot on the platform owing the low sun and other train enthusiasts (who were there first). I used the footbridge to mask out as much of the sun as I could, which left a fellow on-lookers body and kit-bag in the way of the receding view of the train when I panned to the right. There was a wider view of the train's approach at the south end of the platform but no shade to work with. Overall I was pretty happy with the result.
