  • hey man i have a question, if the tuning is F# F# F# F# E B, does that mean that all the F#'s sound the same?

    sorry, alternate tuning n00b

  • As far as I can remember, yes they do. Some strings have to be slackened right up and some have to be twisted up to breaking point, so if you're gonna have a go, I'd advise using high gauge strings :)

  • Love It I wish i could find a guitarist to jam with who is into sonic youth

  • Haha me too, I actually put a couple of ads up on a site called joinmyband to see if I could get a tribute band together, but nothing yet. You could try that though, maybe you'll have some more luck than me!

  • awesome cover and nice feedback. what tunings did you use if you dont mind me asking? thanks!

  • Low E to high e- F# F# F# F# E B

  • The problem with a sonic youth tributeband must be having to have like 13 guitars to each show.

I think this is one of the best covers so far from you. Keep on rocking (in the free world)

  • I DIDINT KNOW JUSTIN BEIBER LIKED SONIC YOUTH XD!! NICE COVER BRO

  • @nooneisusingthisname eh..no.

first F#: up the 6th string from E to F#

second F#: down the A string to F# (it sounds the same)

third F#:up D string to F# (it sounds an octave up)

4th F#: down G string (the same sound of D string)

E note: Down the B string to E (it will be lower than the 3rd string)

    B : down E string to B (the same than 2 string)

aah..and sorry about my english xd..i know it's awful

  • can anybody teach me how to tune f# f# f# f# E B???

  • 2:31 can you teach me how to do that?

  • @nooneisusingthisname NO. dont trust 2n2equals 5. tune it to the f# that is closest to the standard tuning of the string. you get a range of different octaves and it sounds better.

  • WOW! he's even got the thurston circa '94 haircut!! its like baby thurston er something
