Encrypting a hard drive might seem hard to do. It is actually very easy to encrypt your hard drive this is a tutorial on how to encrypt it. Encrypting your hard drive can take under an hour and makes the data on your hard drive very secure. If you do not have an encrypted hard drive and it gets stolen then the person can get into it and steal all of your data. Even if you have a password to log into your user account someone can still put your hard drive in an external enclosure and view all of the files. If your hard drive is encrypted you will need a password to view any file, and if you do not enter it in all of the data is scattered around so no one can view the data. Encrypting your hard drive is a really good idea if you have a laptop or have bank information stored on it, and stuff like that. Right now anyone with Windows can encrypt there hard drive for free. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 Ultimate you do not even need to install anything. This tutorial will show you 2 ways to encrypt your hard drive.
