You cannot stop crime by eliminating weapons. Human beings will always assault and kill each other. Criminals do not care for the law and will find ways to get the weapons you need. You only enslave law abiding citizens by limiting their access to weapons and hampering their god given right to protect their life and property.

@painsey The bill of rights was an attempt to make clear omissions relevant to the day. It was written as are all amendments to deal with timely issues. The guys that sighed the constitution where mostly classically trained Englishmen. They where not stupid and set up the system so it could be tinkered with but not smashed up. the second amendment in its entirety as it stated when the USA constitution was created is as it is now, you can not change the 2nd amendment, period. Its as valid now as it was then. deal with it

@painsey Mate I grow up on a farm and was a gamekeeper. I first used a gun aged 4years old so don’t assume. As for the 2ND ratified 15/12/1791 “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”. As you know this was in response to the statement of intent by the British parliament to retake the colonies.
