The songs says that Keynes's writings are entertaining and useful in college -- not even his acolytes would try to argue that
-
@rickbar123 *cough*Hayek*cough*, yeah, because everyone who opposes Keynes praises Milton Friedman.
-
@WelshLibertarian you really think its that simple. amazing
-
@blueray1969 Before you over-praise Keynes (he was an idiot - a clever idiot but an idiot nonetheless), try reading 'The Failure Of The New Economics' by Henry Hazlitt, in which he rips Keynes's General Theory to pieces.

@RiTuaLzDiTz No.

Before slagging him off, read his "The Economic Consequences of the peace", published in 1919. If people had listened to him then, WWII might never have happened. He was a genius!

@kkmarivate Interesting parallel.
Jesus never gave intellectual or moral grounds to would be crusaders to indulge their bloodthirsty proclivities. Kings and crusaders co-opted His message for their own gains.
Keynes, on the other hand, encouraged governments to do what they already are predisposed to do: spend money. Keynes himself gave politicians what they had craved - a theory which supported their own ends, ie, the vast expansion of political power through "fiscal policy."
@WelshLibertarian I'm pretty sure it's a joke... relax

This song is dispicable because it praises a man that has inflicted so much pain and misery on the world because of his wrong-headed economics.
