I ordered a Red Sea Max 250 Reef System aquarium. (I will be swapping this video for the same one in better quality tonight 10/9/10) I will doing daily updates to let you know how it goes. This system is very unique because it has all of the filtration built into the back of the tank. This video shows the 30 gallon tank that is being replaced. Where I am putting the tank in my home, etc. Future videos will be better quality. PS: I don't not have any ties to Red Sea, but found this particular product interesting. I needed to replace my tank and thought others might find my experience useful!

  • Awesome 30 gallon tank!!! what kind of filter were you using for that tank? Did it hold up and do the job good? i would appreciate a response. thanks

  • I probably would have kept it had the sides not bowed. It was an old fresh water that I converted. I used an Aqueon Power 55, an Instant Ocean SeaClone 100 protien skimmer (best skimmer I've ever used) and only $75 and a hydor 750 power head. I am seriously considering trying a 150 gallon Salt and using only hangon pumps and skimmers just to see if I can make it work. I have many spare pumps, skimmers, power heads that I may just try it! If you keep fish to a minimum works great! Hope this helps

  • There are a few little things that are a little annoying, but overall I really like it. Thanks again for watching!

  • welcome to the addiction

  • Welcome? I'm already looking for a Salt Water Rehab Center.....;) Thanks for watching!!

  • Nice start. I was given a 29 gal. Oceanic Biocube by my daughter and have had some of the same experiences you describe with your 30 gal tank. I want to up grade at some point but not sure of what the future holds along those lines yet. Thanks for sharing.

  • How are you liking that tank?? Sure is a nice setup. I haven't caught up to your most recent but looking forward to seeing you have this set up
