What does Ireland look like from space? Christer Fuglesang knows, after passing overhead many times in orbit. "Green and beautiful," he says.
Now working as Head of the Application and Science Division with an arm of the European Space Agency (ESA), he is visiting Ireland for Science Week 2011.
He will speak about his career as an astronaut (including two missions to the Space Station and five space walks), the work of the ESA and the science that goes on in space.
