Well Ive been using this for eight months about, still haven't painted the particle board, but it functions fine without it. I explain how the siphon feed gun works, and how i strengthened it to hold 1000lbs.

  • First -- AWESOME Work!

A few questions if you don't mind...

-Do you find that the back of the cabinet is usable? 4' seems far to reach thru the holes in the front, would windows, holes, and lights through the back wall help?

-Could you show/explain your Compressor setup, & where you got your gun/cost? I have a small compressor, (30 gal, 3HP 125PSI) & want to get a gun with a replaceable tip like you have.

-What Media do you use air settings & does it work on thick & thin Steel/Aluminum?

  • @Smoknweelz

The back 4' of the cabinet could be used, i could put an extra set of gloves back there and a window ( could do that everywhere on this cabinet ) But I rarely have pieces that big in there that require me to get the back a lot, and if it does, I just spend one extra minute flipping it around.

I am running a 60 gallon tank, and a 12.5 CFM compressor at 100 psi. I bought my gun from princess auto, or as people in the states call it, harbor freight.

  • @Smoknweelz

at 30 gallons your pressure will drop alot, and your compressor will constantly be running, mine does right now with 60gal tank.

I use glass bead, i buy the coarsest stuff, because it wears down to fine quickly i find anyways, It works wonderfully on anything! if your warping thin metal, turn the psi down, and switch media to fine, but i never have that problem! sorry for such a late reply, and to the other commenter, fine dust in your lungs is very damaging, ex. the dirty 30's!
