Rehabilitation of an old fort to accommodate the museum of coastal defense, built by the British in 1887 also the site of a fierce WWII battle between the British, Canadian and Indian soldiers entrusted with the task of defending Hong Kong and 20,000 Japanese soldiers.
@lynfran1 Thank you for coming to Hong Kong and have a hard copy of history of Hong Kong.

Finally I see the Museum. Went with my Son last April but picked the wrong day, definitely on my next trip to see Him and Daughter-in-Law, but I now have a better picture in my mind. Loved the music also.

Sorry for the late response, I think this is one of a good place to go in Hong Kong, before this is a restricted area but now became a Defense Museum after the hang over to China as I came back last year.
In the history, The Canadian Soldiers defensed Hong Kong but not the British as Hong Kong was a colony of British in the World-War II
I pay my salute to them.

thank you for that!
My dream is to go visiting Hong-Kong in a near futur because my grand-father died as a POW at North-Point camp back in 1942. He was a member of the Royal Rifles of Canada. He lies in Sai Wan cemetary. May he rest in peace.
