Norwegian Cruise Line's newest and most innovative ship Norwegian Epic features more than 20 dining options including the line's first Chinese restaurant, Shanghai's, and the largest Teppanyaki restaurant at sea.
This new addition to Norwegian's specialty dining options serves a delicious mix of Chinese dishes and noodle bar specialties. The décor reflects Old Shanghai in the 1930s and is reminiscent of the China Club in Hong Kong. Shanghai's features an open kitchen where chefs prepare traditional Chinese cuisine, noodles, wok fried dishes and dim sum.
As the largest Teppanyaki restaurant at sea, this expanded restaurant features knife-wielding chefs cooking exhibition-style Japanese cuisine on flat top grills. Guests will be amazed by the masterful chefs who demonstrate their skills slicing and dicing while creating an appetizing meal.
LOL at talking down to someone because they had a good experience and you didn't.

@marklkincaid..... Sounds like you're easily pleased....and conned!!
When it comes to value for money, the Epic is way down the list of reputeable cruises......the average customer ratings prove it. Very few people who've been on this ship would recommend it to others.
I agree with your opinion on choice of restaurants and range of dining times but the extra costs were not worth it.
We will aviod NCL in the future

Norwegian gives you lots of choices -- Steak, French, Chinese, Sushi + 2 main dining rooms. If you want a traditional cruise with two choices - early and late dining with strangers -- then choose another line. We loved the EPIC.

I went on this cruise. Honestly, the best part was the disembarkation. This was an EPIC FAILURE, ha ha. But seriously, don't even think twice about going on this cruise.

This is a definately state of the art ship.....Unfortunately this so called free style cruising is obviously and excuse for NCL to nickle and dime its customers. These restaurants where you have to pay surcharges are most certainly not worth the surcharges. The Teppanyaki restaurant on board is not a patch on say Kobies in Florida. Don't forget that you've already paid a lot of money up front. NCL are ripping people of. As said b4...The surcharges are not worth it.
NCL must change this or FAIL.
