Army Recruiter Suspended for Threatening High School Student with Jail Time, Sparks Bipartisan Call for Investigation

A story involving an Army recruiter in Texas last week has led to a bipartisan call for an investigation. The recruiter from the Greenspoint Recruiting Station in Houston was suspended after a recording of his threats aired on a local TV station. The recruiter, Sgt. Glenn Marquette, warned eighteen-year-old Irving Gonzalez that he would be sent to jail if he decided to go to college instead of joining the military, even though Gonzalez had signed a non-binding contract that left him free to change his mind before basic training. We play the recording of their conversation, and we speak with two of the teenage Army recruits involved. We also question a spokesman for the US Military Recruiting Command and speak with a Texas Congressman who is calling for an investigation. [includes rush transcript]

  • @LilJ3090 Ok, your full of shit. Thanks for confirming my assumptions. Why would you want to be an autobody guy if you have a masters.

  • @esc2820 if u wouldnt have responded the way u had (u might wanna look at ur own comment u made first) i wouldnt have said anything about my personal accomplishments and the autobody repair certificate is what gets u hired as a bodyman at a repair shop or for the major car industries, if u didnt want to hear it then dont try to comment on how dumb u think ppl are, im done with this u can continue thats fine but i will not

  • Ummm, why does his mouth NOT match the words that are being said?

  • @LilJ3090 Wow you must be like 60 years old. "I got a masters, associates, and I do autobody repair also. " Why do ppl try to make their lives this huge lie to look good on youtube. No one gives a shit. Oh and you get your associates on your way to get your masters...you forgot to mention that you have a bachelors also. So, did you just throw the autobody repair in there for shits and giggles, or did you fuck up dads car and had to fix it.

  • @MyWaterhead its not business dumbass, were talking about the military, not applying for a job at Wendy's or some shit like that, and Dumbfuck, i passed high school with a 4.0 gpa with all enriched classes i have a masters degree, an associates degree, and a certificate in autobody repair, and if u dont understand something ask before trying to look smart or insult someone

  • @LilJ3090 WHY WOULD YOU DO BUISNESS WITH CRIMINAL BASTARDS LIKE THAT SOME NEEDS TO FIND YOU A BRAIN DUMBFUCK

  • @dodgerfan101562 LOOK FOWARD TO SEE YOU COME HOME IN A BAG

  • wow, i went to the same hotel. either everything's changed or he's full of shit.

  • if u signed a legal document, and u were not 18 yrs. old, that document can be declared non-binding. it might depend on the state, but most consider 18 as a age of contracts that can be enforced.
