This video goes even further to explain how to make the "Benny Benassi Synth"

Description: The first thing you are going to want to do is create a redrum drum kit
And add the bass drums in, pick whichever bass drum you want, but keep in mind the harder the kick the harder the pump
Now create a spider audio merger and splitter and put it between your benassi synth and your redrum
Click the tab button and create a connection between channel one of redrum and the ab 1 on the spider audio. Next add a connection between channel 2 of ab on the spider audio to side chaining in on your mclass compressor. Lastly make a connection from ab 3rd chanel to your mixer in channel 3.
Push tab to flip back to the front
On your mclass compressor have the input gain to 7.3, the threshold to -36, select the soft knee button, turn the ration knob all the way to the right to 1 infinite, turn the attack to 1 all the way to the left and the release to the 444 and move the output gain to 0

  • u just taught people a very complex way of sidchaining. just compress an intrument and there is usually a sidechain icon on the compressor, set that n the kick and there you go.

  • that is not how reason works, maybe a different DAW

  • wats this program called? and can i get for mac?

  • its called reason 4.0 and it works great on mac

  • @luckydatevideos love the program lol. could use that lol. on my HP Pavilion dv7t-5000 CTO high end notebook. made of Alum.kind of look like a HP Evny, real close.

  • @luckydatevideos not trying to be a huge F*** , but there is a component on reason's compressor where you input a Bass drum sound (from redrum) and connect it's output to the the compressor's "SideChainIn" and then just compress the synth...and bam...SIDECHAIN
