This is my family vacation to the Trinity Test Site in New Mexico. It is where they blew the first atomic bomb, on July 16, 1945, at 0529.

Update: Wow! Thank you to everyone around the world that has cranked this video over 18,000 views! I appreciate it so much! Don't forget that I have other videos too! Thank you again!

  • I saw a sign which read, "Radioactive Material." Why would anybody go to a location where there is a sign posted warning of this? What did I miss?

  • @aligerous Haha, I think it's more as a joke than anything else, because the percentage of radiation is almost non-existent. Is that helpful?

  • clearly people who HAVE TOO MUCH FREE TIME ON THERE HANDS.....why in GODs world with ALL the wounderful things there are too see would you go there!!!!!!!!!!!so you can get 10X the normal dose or radiation???.....yeah ill take my children there....

  • Not quite actually... I have been everywhere in God's wonderful Creation. This is something of history, and I felt honored to go see it.

  • @chives2 yes god bless america for creating the worst thing ever known to man kind next to satan of course

  • Wait, wouldn't this place still be radioactive? No way in hell would I go there!

  • @promagnum

That's the way it is with all atomic bombs, be it fission or fusion. When some of the fuel starts the chainreaction, the rest of of it get blown outwards. Thus, most of it gets undercritical before it takes part in the reaction.
