This is my dads 1990 Mercedes 300e.
We can't figure out why it takes so long to start. We just had a new alternator put in, and it's regularly maintained (at least now it is. We don't know the history before we bought it). Please comment on the video, I will make a better one thats not so dark tomorrow. I just washed and waxed it (Turtle Wax).
Thanks, Max

  • Lol

  • I,m looking to buy a 1990 300e for 3,000 I hear bad things No or Go???? please give me some feedback...

  • I'd say no but just because of the price. Unless the car is completely flawless, its a bit too expensive. You can get a good condition 300E for about $2000 nowdays.

Otherwise I say go for it.

Some people might say no because it doesn't get the best gas mileage and parts are expencive, but all in all it is a great car. Fix it right and take care of her and she will last you quite a while.

    Good luck.

  • yea same, when my dad starts his it shakes for a couple of seconds as if its about to stall, and you have to push a little gas for it not to stall ..but i think thats because our car has high idling...check if the idleing if you get it started

  • Thanks it does have a high idle.
