  • It's very simple.

    1. drain water with a small pump commanded by a electronic ordinary scheduler (controller).

    2. add tap water through a hose with a electro-mechanic valve (I'm used a washing machine valve) commanded by a electronic ordinary scheduler (controller).

Level sensor is connected in series with electro-mechanic valve.

Total cost (Romanian suppliers) approx 80Euro (320Ron)

  • Great set up for an amazing tank! do you use a python gravel vac for cleaning the gravel?

  • @nerdyrcdriver hi! happy '12 year! I try to do another video about my very simple and extremely cheap DIY system, which I use. Hope this month have some time...

  • Looks good but how do you add dechlorinator?

  • THAT is the coolest thing :D your fish must be in heaven~

  • i gotta get one of thouse

  • I would also like to know the materials and general directions used to create the system you put together. We have been researching an idea like this for a while, for our 2000gal. pond setup(with large glass front) housing our arapaimas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Wow that is amazing that must of cost you a fortune. By the way nice discus fish.

  • i cant view your technical scheme link. the discussion in romanian link you said also blocked. glad if you can upload the tech scheme again and update in this video details.

    very nice system indeed.

    cheers

  • thats awesome, i just baught myself a 180 gallon tank, i would really be interested to know how you made this system, would u be able to send me the directions?

  • Howdy! Awesome setup! I've been researching online how to do something like this and happened to bump into your video, and think its great! I tried going to the website where you posted your schematics but was unable to open it. Would you mind emailing it to me? jerodriguez05 at gmail. Also, I saw that it had a floating value that you use as an overflow safety cutoff. Does this also address water evaporation, like auto top off, or can it be incorporated into your system? What are your thoughts?
