Check out Paul Leim shedding during a sound check while he was on tour with Faith Hill a few years ago. The cymbals sound killer in this short clip.

  • Wow, those toms sounds amazing! Nice performance anyway! :)

  • I absolutely love Paiste's Especially the 2002's and my old 2000 series Sound Reflection Hi-hats, they are just amazing!

Keep in mind -this is coming from a fan of the rude and 2002 series - maybe I'm deaf. I like my cymbals loud and powerful - I play the sigs and I think they project nicely. The twenty series seemed like I had to really give it a whack to bring the cymbal to life

Well, I guess you've got more experience with them than I do. So far all I've done is use them on over 40 summer festivals in the last 3 months with a loud country rock band, and the Twenties sat perfectly in the mix with NO overhead mic'ing. They also cut through the pop/R&B/rock cover bands that I sub with in loud club settings, again with NO overheads. I've also used my 18" and 20" Twenty crashes & 20" china on rock/metal gigs with no volume/cut issues either.

  • @mgdrummer77

Yeah - if they are miked

  • @MrGuitarandvocals I beg to differ. I've got a boatload of Twentys that project just fine.

  • @iwimp1994

The twenty series are terrible. They can't project for shit. They are being discontinued. The twenty customs are taking their place this fall

  • @jubalate remo clear emperor on toms. Probably a coated ambassador on snare or coated empror. clear ambassador on bottom of toms and snare. clear powerstroke 3 on bass.
