This is my routine for starting my Austin Healey in the spring. My website is http://www.AustinHealeywood.com .
This is my 1960 Austin Healey 3000 painted pacific green over ivory white.
Other things you should do as far as maintenance: grease the front suspension, grease the U- joint on the drive shaft, grease the hand brake cable, remove the wheels- clean all of the old grease off the splines and re grease them (evey two years unless you live in the desert), clean the points on the fuel pump, every two years purge the brake fluid, check the fluid level in the steering box ( almost all old Healeys will not hold steering box fluid, if yours does not then fill it up with grease), check transmission oil level ( Healeys leak copious quantities of oil from the transmission) IMPORTANT only use 30 W non-detergent oil in an overdrive transmission, check oil in rear axle, check cooling system level ( always use antifreeze, not pure water, the antifreeze keeps aluminum parts from corroding)
woah... this has GOT to be my dream car!! best car.. and i love it in pacific green..
