good offroad, but also very comfy on the road, at high speeds, you are actually able to talk to each other! try that in a tatra, you'll have to scream! also ver very good fuel management! top notch trucks!

from what i see ost of the offroad traction these emrcs have comes from the torsion of the chassis. with a loaded tipper,for instance, that torsion is gone... well. for this matter i would still go to tatra. and let the mercs rule the asfalt :)

Wow, I'd forgotten all about this video! I wish they had some shots of them doing this with a couple tons of load on them, to see if they still do so well! I guess they figure that the average customer won't be doing anything quite this extreme, so it doesn't matter! It's pretty cool that the frame seems to be an integral part of the suspension; I know that's true of all trucks, but this is extreme! I wonder how much of that twisting it can take before it causes cracks or fatigue?

@justforever96 looks like its got super singles on the front.. meaning they are as much as a third wider than regular singles it would be worse if they were the regular wheels =]
