I know. when people at my high school found out I bellydance they went crazy. girls were envious and boys were flirtatious. I don't like bellydancinf in front of americans because they don't really see the art of it. I only dance at weddings and family parties.

I know. Here in USA, if you are a young girl interested in belly dancing - people think you're going to seduce men in their bedrooms and dance on a stripper pole. Everything is not about sex and I like belly dance as an art form and its aesthetics. But usually, I keep things to myself LOL

Hahahah Shakira bellydance?? I respect tehfact that she sings and makes her own music,...but i would not say i need to wathc her to see what bellydance is since she makes it very sexual, and bellydance is NOT!
