Laura Burzacott has performed in a wide variety of theatre productions in both her home town of Ballarat and more recently in Melbourne, including playing the musical theatre roles of Sally Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Linda in Blood Brothers; Charity in Sweet Charity (nomination --Victorian Music Theatre Guild); Alex in The Witches of Eastwick (Winner- Victorian Music Theatre Guild); Alexi Darling in Rent, a Shop Girl in Little Shop of Horrors, and various roles in Last Drinks for Verve Studios. She also played Helen in The Gun in History for National Theatre, Quince in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Marion in Foreigners from Home and Ben in Sunrise Sunset.
She is currently working on the new Australian musical Call Girl with Tracy Harvey, Alan Fletcher, Steve Vizard and Bert Newton.
Since moving to Melbourne in 2005, Laura has worked extensively to establish a career in the performing arts, having already completed a Certificate III in Performance and Practices from the National Theatre, the Professional Actors Studio at Verve Studio and is currently completing the Professional Actors Workshop --Film and TV at Verve Studio.
