This video was discovered by Joseph Thompson, a youth researcher on the Nanisiniq: Arviat History Project, during Nanisiniq's trip to the Northwest Territories Archives in Yellowknife during August 2010. The Nanisiniq: Arviat History Project is a collaborative initiative between the Sivulinuut Elders Society and the University of British Columbia, which has trained four Inuit youth as researchers in examining the historical time period of the 1950s and 1960s in which Inuit relocated and were relocated to the community of Eskimo Point (Arviat).

Donald Suluk from Arviat (Eskimo Point) speaking about the Inuit's relationship with the caribou as part of the Kaminuriak Caribou Herd Project. Tape #9 from the Kaminuriak Series, credit: GNWT/NWT Archives/G-1994-010:CN-131

Special thanks to Jamie Bell from the Nunavut Arctic College headquarters in Arviat, NU for re-coding the video to make separate Inuktitut and English versions.
